Horizontal Transfer Procedures
Transfer, is the transfer of a student from one university to another between equivalent departments of universities. Transfer can be either intra-institutional or inter-institutional.

Students who have the right to continue their undergraduate program can apply for transfer to University of Kyrenia's 4-Year Undergraduate or 2-Year Associate Degree Programs within the framework of the applicable rules.

Within the framework of Additional Article-1, if the student's central placement score in the year of enrollment is equal to or higher than the base score of the diploma program of the university he / she wants to transfer to, he / she can apply for transfer within the framework of the dates determined by the university for transfer, including the preparatory class, and the applications of such candidates are evaluated by the relevant boards of higher education institutions and their transfer is accepted provided that it does not exceed 10% of the student quota stipulated in the ÖSYM Guide of the diploma program for the relevant year. In cases where the application is more than the quota, the internal and external transfer of the candidate is accepted as many as the quota, starting from the candidate with the highest OSYS score.

External Horizontal Transfers
Transfer applications of Turkish National students are accepted within the framework of YÖK legislation rules. Please visit http://www.yok.gov.tr/content/view/476/183/lang,tr/ for detailed information.

Other requirements for transfer are as follows:

- Not being dismissed from a University (active student status),

- A GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00,

The applications of the candidates whose conditions meet the above conditions are finalized by the Faculty Board within the quotas determined by the Departments after the opinion of the relevant Department Board.

Documents required for application:

- Photocopy of ÖSYM Placement Certificate and OSYM score report

- Student certificate

- Transcript

- Course Contents

-  A document stating that there is no disciplinary penalty (If there is this statement in the transcript or student document, this document will not be required)

- Photocopy of passport  or identity card

- A document stating that you have not transferred before.

Evaluation and Finalization:
Applications that are not rejected in the preliminary evaluation of the Directorate of Student Affairs are evaluated by the relevant School or Faculty Administrative Board according to the criteria determined by this Board and finalized by the decision of the School or Faculty Administrative Board.

In the decision of the School or Faculty Administrative Board, the courses that a student, whose transfer application is finalized positively, has succeeded in his/her former department before the transfer are notified to the Directorate of Student Affairs as "exempted courses" together with the old course codes, new course codes, reference codes and letter grades.

Intra-University Transfer
Applications for intra-university transfer are made through the Student Affairs Directorate between the dates announced in advance and are decided by the relevant School or Faculty Administrative Board.

A student studying in a four-year undergraduate program may apply for transfer to another four-year undergraduate program or two-year associate degree programs. A student studying in a two-year associate degree program may apply for transfer to other two-year associate degree programs.

Internal Transfer Admissions for Turkish National Students:
Transfer applications of Turkish National students are accepted within the framework of YÖK legislation rules.
